CD "Felipop X Aniversario, 1998 - 2008" ---- August, 2008.

The people of the most indescribable music festival in Spain, the mythical FELIPOP, have just released a double CD celebrating the tenth anniversary of the event.

This CD, titled "Felipop X Aniversario, 1998 - 2008", holds contributions, previously unreleased many of them, of many of the artists that have played until now in the distinguished festival.  Up to 45, including Paul Collins Beat, P.F. Sloan, Nick Garrie, Colin Hare, Bronco Bullfrog or Scarlet's well.

There's a couple of contributions by Miguel Angel Villanueva.  One of them is singing lead vocals in a very special cover that the band Los Huespedes Felices are doing of the Fire's psychedelic classic "Father's Name Is Dad".

Also on the CD there's "En El Aire", a song which was demoed for the "Ningún Cielo" album, but which finally wasn't recorded.

Two new songs written with Alan Gordon. 2006

Miguel Angel Villanueva has written spanish lyrics to a couple of Alan Gordon songs, after being commissioned by Gordon.

Alan is part of the legendary tandem Bonner & Gordon, co-writer of immortal melodies like “Happy Together” (The Turtles) or “Me About You” (The Lovin’ Spoonful), and his songs have been recorded by artists as diverse as Three Dog Night, The Righteous Brothers, Barbra Streisand, Petula Clark or Alice Cooper among many others.

Gordon was delighted at Villanueva’s music and commissioned him for the adaptation into spanish of two of his songs: “One World In Love” and “Man Among The Stars”, which after being arranged and recorded on a demo by Miguel Angel Villanueva, are called now “Un Mundo Al Revés” (A World In Reverse) and “Luz En Mi Oscuridad” (Light In My Darkness).

We’ll have to keep an open eye upon the latin artists and find out who ends up recording these two songs…
